Re-roofing our house
Steve - Fort Collins, CO
Colorado Roof Toppers went above and beyond the usual with our roof. There were two reasons. 1) We have three solar hot water collectors on the roof. As owner and original installer of these collectors, I disconnected the plumbing, but the Roof Topper crew helped move them out off the way while the south slope of the roof was re-shingled. Then they helped move them back onto their mountings. I reconnected the plumbing. 2) Years ago, we installed a wood burning stove in the basement. This included a metal chimney that penetrated the eave of the roof. As a Do It Yourself-er, I cut the eave and installed the chimney and built a chimney box to give it a more finished look. A few years ago, because of the many wood burning bans, I replaced the wood burning stove with a natural gas stove. Its exhaust vented through the wall and did not need a chimney. I left the chimney box in place until this re-shingling. When I opened up the chimney box, I saw that my work had allowed rot to set in. The Roof Topper crew rebuilt the effected area. They installed new 2x4s to support the eave properly and new sheathing to finish the roof properly. The re-shingling went extremely well. They were punctual, friendly, efficient, etc (all good things!). They helped with the solar hot water collectors and rebuilt the damaged area of the roof. Then they cleaned up very well and were done! All was done on time, schedule and as budgeted.
Wonderful Experience With Colorado Roof Toppers

As expected ............... Very Good! Professional in all work. One issue that came up was the leaf guard was not fastened as should have been on a few sections. This would allow the snow to push it down and allow leaves to back up. Caesar the foreman corrected it right then. (I noticed it before Caesar had a chance to inspect the work.) Denise checked on the job in person along with Scott inspected on the roof during the installation. Denise was in contact & very quick with responses through out from the initial call that I made to the very end of the job. Clean up was very good. There is a reason that Colorado Roof Toppers have a GAF Factory Certified Master Elite Contractor status. I opted to get the package that got the Golden Pledge Warranty!! There should be more businesses that have the model that Denise & Scott Bart follow. It was a pleasure doing business with Colorado Roof Toppers. Description of work: Re-roof complete house & replace all gutter & down-spouts. Totally professional job.
That was some wild weather yesterday! This is a map that shows the areas that were hit with hail yesterday that could cause damage. If you live in south Fort Collins in the area near Ketcher & Trilby, and you see a lot of granules where your downspouts drain, you should probably have your roof looked at. Give us a call if you would like us to take a look.
